To provide day-to-day operational support to the Mid Cheshire District, enabling the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of faults, planned works, investment activity and customer commitments. The role acts as a central coordination and assurance function for district activity, supporting managers, engineers and field teams by maintaining robust data, effective planning, high standards of customer service, and strong safety governance.
What you’ll be doing
District Operational Support
Provide direct support to the District General Manager, Operations Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers
Assist with coordination of faults, planned works, standby arrangements and investment delivery
Support daily and weekly district planning, resource allocation and programme updates
Assist with preparation of work packs, operational documentation and field support information
Data Quality, Systems & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely updates across operational systems
Identify and escalate missing or poor-quality data affecting district performance
Support production of district performance reports (CI/CML, customer service, investment progress, audits)
Assist with preparation for audits, inspections and performance reviews
Customer & Stakeholder Interface
Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, customers, contractors and support functions
Support customer communications linked to planned outages, faults and investigations
Ensure vulnerable customer requirements are correctly recorded and managed
Assist in resolution of escalations and complaints in line with SPEN processes
Health, Safety & Compliance
Support district compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
Assist with collation of evidence for audits, inspections and investigations
Promote a positive safety culture and adherence to safe systems of work
What you’ll bring
Essential
Experience in an administrative support role
Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail, particularly with data and reporting
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
