Responsibility and Authority

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the Senior Electrical and Instrument Technician in maintaining all areas, systems, and equipment in accordance with the maintenance strategy defined for the unit, including second, third, and fourth line maintenance activities in the CMMS, ensuring high reliability and availability of equipment and systems.
  • Provide support in managing and operating the Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU) in compliance with:
    • Flag State requirements
    • Regulatory compliance
    • HSSEQ requirements
    • Company vision, purpose, principles, philosophies, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for managing Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) for all personnel, materials, activities, and logistics within the assigned area of responsibility:
    • Ensure Electrical Assistants are supervised and developed to competence through required training for maintaining installations and operating <1000V systems, including black start procedures
    • Take personal responsibility for safety and actively contribute to continuous improvement and risk prevention
    • Encourage personnel to contribute ideas to improve HSSEQ performance
  • Take appropriate action in emergency situations as defined in the Emergency Response Plan
  • Manage and monitor all active Permit to Work (PTW) within the assigned area and take appropriate action in case of changing conditions
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in the assigned area
  • Promote continuous improvement and proactive risk prevention
  • Responsible for technical integrity of all permanent and temporary electrical and instrumentation installations onboard
  • Support strict control of software backups and integration with onboard network systems
  • Ensure that all electrical and instrumentation equipment requiring calibration is monitored, certified, and recorded in the maintenance system
  • Support achievement of corporate and unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including development of action plans for performance improvement
  • Ensure that any changes to technical specifications or operational parameters follow the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Develop training plans in the personnel management system and support competence development through training, coaching, and assessment in line with competency frameworks
  • Contribute to performance appraisal processes and support succession planning through feedback on assigned personnel

Qualification Requirements

Education

  • According to Training Matrix

Experience

  • Minimum five years’ experience as an electrical technician
  • At least three years of offshore experience and/or oil & gas refinery or marine electrical experience
  • Experience in maintenance of process and utility equipment in the oil and gas industry

Duration: 12 months (extendable)
