Technical QA Lead (m/f/d)
As a corporate startup of ÖBB, it is our mission to make the diversity of mobility easily accessible throughout Austria. With the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform and the “wegfinder” app, both developed and operated by us, we connect users and stakeholders of the mobility ecosystem. With wegfinder, users can plan journeys, compare and combine different mobility options, and book public transport, sharing services, and other forms of mobility directly within the app. As QA Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform and mobile applications. You will lead the QA function within the organization, mentor the QA team, and work closely with developers, product owners and management to continuously improve our quality assurance processes. In this role you will combine hands-on testing experience with leadership and process ownership, helping to ensure that wegfinder delivers a reliable experience to users across Austria Your Job, you... will lead and mentor the QA team, foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional growth. are working on defining and evolving the overall testing strategy for backend services and mobile applications, including feature testing, regression testing, smoke testing and exploratory testing. will ensure QA processes and practices are consistently applied across cross-functional delivery teams and continuously improved. will coordinate release preparation together with the Product Owners and the engineering teams, ensuring releases are properly validated before deployment. define, monitor and maintain QA-related KPIs to identify quality gaps and drive continuous improvement. are providing hands-on support for testing activities when required, contributing to manual and automated testing efforts and analyze production incidents and hotfixes to identify root causes and drive systemic quality improvements. monitor the quality and operational performance of mobility and transport system integrations in production and organize and coordinate field testing activities, focusing on identifying and resolving real user-facing issues.
