N/S Feed Mill Control Room Operator

Description

The Feed Mill Control Operator is responsible for manufacturing feed in accordance with standard operating procedures and FDA/USDA regulations established at the feed mill. Also responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to receive ingredients, grind grains, mix and pellet feed. Partner will operate processing equipment according to established standard operating procedures, and perform housekeeping activities, quality checks on feed and ingredients, maintenance and repair of equipment.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities listed below include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate pelleting, grinding, and batching equipment.
  • Manufacture feed in accordance with QA policies, standard operating procedures and current GMP’s.
  • Sample ingredients and perform quality assurance tests.
  • Collect feed samples in accordance with sampling plan.
  • Perform micro handling and housekeeping duties.
  • Monitor equipment and process and report maintenance or production issues to feed mill management.
  • Must be willing to be trained in the following: CPR, Hazmat, and Confined Space.
  • Must be able to work in a dusty environment.
  • Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders and operate pallet jack.
  • Must be flexible (willing to work different shifts).
  • Other duties as assigned.
