POSITION SUMMARY:

The Amine Treating Facility Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of an amine treating facility within a midstream oil and gas operation. This position supervises operators and technicians involved in gas treating, Co2 and sulfur removal, dehydration, compression, and associated plant processes. The Supervisor ensures the facility consistently meets production targets, gas quality specifications, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the amine treating facility, including gas sweetening, dehydration, compression,  and related process equipment.

• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate facility operators and maintenance personnel.

• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and applicable state and federal requirements.

• Monitor plant performance, throughput, and gas quality to ensure treated gas meets pipeline specifications.

• Coordinate startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and emergency response activities.

• Review and analyze process data, operating trends, alarms, and production reports to identify opportunities for optimization.

• Manage and maintain amine systems, including circulation rates, filtration, reclaiming, and chemical inventory.

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities on pumps, vessels, compressors, exchangers, pipelines, control valves, instrumentation, and related equipment.

• Work closely with maintenance, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams to maximize plant uptime and operational efficiency.

• Prepare shift reports, operating logs, incident reports, and production summaries.

• Conduct safety meetings, job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

• Ensure personnel are properly trained and qualified in lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, H2S awareness, and emergency response procedures.

• Manage contractor activities and ensure contractors comply with site rules and safety standards.

• Assist with budget preparation, operating expense tracking, and capital project planning.

• Participate in facility audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.

• Maintain inventory of chemicals, spare parts, and operating supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Oil and gas industry experience required; midstream preferred.

• Valid Driver’s License required
