Network Product manager WAN
Role: Product Lead: Network Services-WAN
Location: New Delhi
Experience:8-14 years
As a Product Manager the role holder will be responsible for managing the development and roll-out of new products and/or additional features and capabilities in existing and new products for Network Services (WAN) technology.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and validate solutions, serve as primary product expert
- Lead product design, development and release process for assigned products and maintain the product development road map
- Drive product development with internal teams and external vendors - Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
- Create detailed use cases, business requirements - Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers and prospects
- Manage differentiated external technology vendors and internal developers to stand up ‘proof-of-concepts’ for these technologies and demonstrate their value to the business, following an agile methodology of refining or pivoting on initial ideas
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to build the specification of new technologies driving innovative work practices with our business
- Build on successful proof-of-concepts to develop and manage ‘live’ pilots which will see the integration of these technologies in our practice. Scale successful pilots into the mainstream operations of our business
- Ongoing horizon scanning of relevant technologies and how these may impact in-flight innovation initiatives
- Work closely with domain Product Managers to remain aligned with broader innovation initiatives
- Manage stakeholders’ expectations in relation to deliverables and identify risks on innovation initiatives as they are developed
- Set and agree budgets and produce project plans and progress reports, keeping stakeholders informed of status
- Coordinate beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers. Participate in product performance benchmarking activities
- Maintain project milestone schedules for each initiative ensuring on-time delivery for distribution.
Skills / Experience
- Product Management experience including delivery of entire technology based products from start to finish
- Project management experience with a track record of successful delivery covering planning (operational and financial), analysis, design, test, deployment and operation of new products
- Experience of vendor management and outsourcing
- Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders
- Experience in the use of agile development methodologies
- Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience of leading diverse teams, complex engagements, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance
- 5+ years of experience as practitioner in the role of Senior Technical Architect for Network Service
- TOGAF 9 Certification (desirable).
