Network Engineer
Position Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of all network systems supporting business-critical applications and end-users.
Technical Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
Mandatory: Data Center technologies – Cisco ACI / Cisco Nexus.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, QoS.
Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (preferred, not mandatory).
Knowledge of network security frameworks and industry best practices.
Ability to automate or script tasks using Python, Ansible, or similar (added advantage).
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive, analytical mindset.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Mandatory: Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
Preferred: Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE).
