National Key Account Manager – Czechia & Slovakia

About the Role

As National Key Account Manager, you will lead the commercial agenda with major pharmacy chains, virtual chains, and distribution partners across Czechia and Slovakia. You will guide a talented Key Account team, translate market insights into actionable plans, and drive best‑in‑class execution that supports sustainable growth and strengthens Opella’s market leadership.

Key Responsibilities (7)

  • Deliver commercial performance, achieving top‑line and bottom‑line targets while ensuring effective trade spend management.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Key Account team to build capability, drive performance, and foster a high‑engagement culture.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with senior decision‑makers across major pharmacy and distribution networks.
  • Develop and execute national account strategies that support sustainable sales and market share growth.
  • Lead annual and quarterly business planning, ensuring alignment with internal teams and customer priorities.
  • Own the customer forecasting process, identifying opportunities, risks, and performance drivers through strong analytical oversight.
  • Ensure optimal distribution and availability, collaborating with supply chain and cross-functional partners to deliver operational excellence.

Key Requirements (7)

  • 8+ years of experience in consumer healthcare, FMCG, or related consumer product industries, including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Proven ability to manage strategic key accounts—ideally pharmacy chains, distributors, or modern trade.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sustainable sales and market share growth.
  • Experience building and executing joint business plans with complex partners.
  • Strong understanding of the Czech and Slovak healthcare/pharmacy landscape (highly advantageous).
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with an analytical and strategic mindset.
  • Fluent Czech or Slovak, plus professional-level English; willingness to travel across both markets.
