Responsible for the Truist Mortgage Assumption Origination and/or processing duties in an inbound “call center” environment within bank policies and procedures as well as the efficient and accurate execution of existing loan updates, exception processing, and records research and response. Completing process requirements accurately and timely in accordance with bank policy and compliance standards.There is a 5 day in-office expectation.
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Execute effective Mortgage Assumption processes through inbound client inquiries.
2. Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of the Mortgage Assumption Strategies, Policies and Procedures.
3. Obtain required credit and compliance documentation per program requirements from internal clients, external clients, vendors, and third-party sources.
4. Perform detailed review of all documentation to ensure that loans meet portfolio and investor guidelines.
5. Ensure that loan quality standards are met when submitting loans to underwriting.
6. Conduct proactive and effective pipeline management to ensure that metrics are met.
7. Adhere to and comply fully with any and all Truist policies and procedures related to internal and external rules and regulations, particularly those established by Investors, State and Federal law.
8. Execute existing loan updates and validation based on documents required by Policies and Procedures.
9. Provide accurate and timely response to internal and external loan requests.
10. Identify and communicate adverse issues, trends or inefficiencies to management and other lines of business along with proposed solutions; contribute to agreed upon resolutions.
Required Qualifications:

1. Three years prior mortgage contact center experience
2. Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
3. High sense of urgency in following up with clients and teammates throughout the loan process
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills
6. Strong sense of teamwork and mutual respect
7. Demonstrated positive, helpful, proactive attitude
8. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
10. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
11. Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Two years of experience in banking and/or lending environment with enhanced knowledge of residential property types
2. Enhanced understanding of residential mortgage types
3. Two years prior mortgage servicing contact center experience
