Mobile Exhibition Specialist - CDL Class A Driver
We're seeking a dependable and safety-focused driver to operate the VEGATRUCK, transport it between destinations, and support setup and demonstrations of our mobile showroom. The VEGATRUCK is an immersive instrumentation lab on wheels. Demonstration models, complete with VEGA sensors, illustrate the multitude of technologies VEGA uses for level, point level, pressure measurements, and more.
This role includes route planning, on-site setup and breakdown, routine maintenance, and compliance with commercial driving regulations. Additional responsibilities include assisting with trade show displays and maintaining the VEGA Training Lab.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive the VEGA Truck.
- Plan route for truck travel, drive the VEGA Truck between destinations, and ensure timely transport.
- Set up the showroom, including operation of on-board hydraulic systems and power source connections to the internal displays, and assist with demonstrations of VEGA products.
- Perform breakdown of the showroom and preparation for travel following each event, and ensure contents are properly secured to prevent damage/injury.
- Ensure regular maintenance and inspections are performed prior to, and following, the trip.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the VEGATRUCK.
- Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations for Commercial Drivers.
- Coordinate security of the trailer if necessary.
- Build Trade Show models and help set up Show Booths.
- Assist in upkeep of VEGA Training Lab.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- 5+ years' experience driving Tractor Trailers
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel with the VEGA truck 2 weeks per month. (i.e . 1 Week On / 1 Week Off)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
