Mining Planning Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Junior Mining Planning Engineer to join our team. You will participate in the design and optimization of short, medium, and long-term extraction plans, taking into account technical, economic, and environmental aspects. You will work closely with production teams to ensure that mining operations follow established plans and that production targets are met safely and efficiently. Main Responsibilities: Participate in the development of short, medium, and long-term mining plans ; Analyze geological and technical data to optimize operations ; Collaborate with operational teams to ensure the implementation of plans ; Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes ; Attend follow-up meetings and prepare progress reports ; Monitor performance indicators and propose improvements to maximize efficiency ; Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts for mining projects ; Evaluate the environmental impact of projects and propose mitigation measures ; Anticipate operational risks and suggest corrective measures to minimize their impact ; Prepare technical reports for management and stakeholders ; Stay updated on technological advancements to integrate best practices and innovations into projects. Required Skills: Knowledge of planning software (e.g., Surpac, MineSched) and geological modeling tools ; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ; Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously ; Good communication and teamwork skills ; Autonomy, rigor, and a sense of responsibility ; Familiarity with mining industry standards and regulations, especially regarding health, safety, and the environment. Education: Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Additional training in project management is a plus. Experience: Initial experience in mining planning, internships, or relevant academic projects are appreciated.
