Job Title:  Millwright Apprentice
Flynn Manufacturing Division
Mississauga, ON

Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, the Maintenance Apprentice will perform day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our Mississauga facilities.  The person in this role will be assigned and responsible for duties to support production machines and equipment, as well as perform tool upkeep and repairs.

A Day in the Life
·         Performing preventative maintenance on various machines including saws, CNC, press brakes etc.
·         Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems with equipment.
·         Repair malfunctioning components such as motors, pumps, valves, controls
·         Sourcing parts and supplies as needed to maintain and repair all machines and equipment.
·         As required, working at heights and confined spaces.
·         Other facility and equipment maintenance tasks as assigned.
 
What You Bring
·         Currently enrolled in a Millwright Apprenticeship College Program.
·         1-2 years experience reading and interpreting diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications.
·         1-2 years experience operating power tools (drill, impact drivers, reciprocating saw, drill press etc.).
·         Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
·         Work independently and be accountable for work performed.
·         Ability to lift, up to 50lbs.
·         Ability to perform 8 hours of standing, climbing, and crouching in an active manufacturing environment.
