Melt Shop Millwright

03/12/2026 Brief Description: Mechanical maintenance of EAFs, baghouse, cranes, flux systems, and auxiliary equipment. Working with Melt Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Maintenance Coordinators, Milltechs, Millwrights, Electricians, Shift Supervisors, and Operators to drive Melt production goals.  Focus will be on safety and assisting operations as needed to ensure uptime and reliability. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe work environment. Good communication skills with an ability to work within a team environment. Operate mobile equipment, including mobile cranes. Troubleshooting and repairing systems. These include: Fluid power systems, mechanical power transmission systems, water systems, pneumatic systems, conveyor belts, blower systems, etc. This position requires a strong ability to lead and perform repairs to the melt shop equipment. Rigging / Competent person/ Fall Rescue / Confined Space / Mobile crane Certified Required • An excellent safety and attendance record. • Previous mechanical maintenance experience. • Successfully complete mechanical aptitude test (if not already on file). • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, grease systems, gearing, shaft alignment, rigging, overhead cranes, and precision instruments. Fabrication skills that include torching, welding, and blueprint reading. • Positive attitude, self-motivated, with strong communication skills. • Computer and CMMS trained.
