Mechanical Engineer
Main Purpose of the Job:
- The Design Engineer works with a team of engineers and designers to develop both conceptual and detailed designs, ensuring compliance with applicable norms, codes, and standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Engineering Package Managers in producing building calculations and reviews.
- Analyze and implement RFIs, SDRs, Hotline Tickets, NCRs, PFM, EI, and DN.
- Collaborate closely with the Integration Team.
- Review and approve contractor’s design documentation and surveillance activities related to their discipline.
- Maintain full awareness of the technical scope and allotment relevant to the discipline/interdisciplinary work.
- Draft correspondence and reports as required.
- Attend design meetings with TBs and contractors.
Project Core Competences & Technical Skills:
General Skills:
- Nuclear safety culture and ITER safety objectives.
- Limited knowledge of ISO 9001/19443, order 07/02/2012, and ITER framework.
- Application of discipline-specific processes and procedures.
- English proficiency at independent B2 level.
- Documentation culture and traceability.
- HSE knowledge (security control and environmental risks).
- Understanding engineering trades and project lifecycle.
- Awareness of worksite progress.
