Mechanical Engineer
YOUR ROLE
In your daily job you will:
Define & Develop design architecture of Automotive Sensors according to customer, internal demands, supplier strategy in terms of cost, quality and functionality
Concept creating and development of mechanical solutions and systems based on customer specification
Customer requirements analysis for the purpose of program development & quote process
Apply development tools and processes and document results.
Control & verify Work Products as defined by product development processes
Participate in Project Reviews
Cooperation with other competencies in the concept development of new products
Verification of the proposed solution from the point of view of manufacturability & design robustness,
Presenting developed solution at meetings with internal & external customer
Cooperate with project teams, Product Technical Managers, GSM, MFGE and suppliers to identify and assess reusable blocks, lessons learnt and components evolution;
Prepare technical documentation required for program development & quote process (Analysis, Simulations, Models, Prototypes (ex. A-sample), Presentations);
Rating existing and developing new design concepts.
Preparing finished project result reports, and approve specified tasks.
Develop ME concept based on customer specification, internal goals (ex. cost target, time constraints), standards and known manufacturing technologies. The concept shall contain detailed BOM (component list with assigned material) for cost evaluation, CAD Model, ME input to layout study.
Present developed solution at internal and customer Technical Reviews;
Ensure cost efficiency on products and engineering
Company image building and promotion.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
Team oriented
Communication skills
MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of CAD Software (Unigraphics, Catia V5)
Good English skills (both spoken and written)
Experience in serial production environment
Experience in the area of Active and Passive Safety Sensors
Presentation skills
Good knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical components
Previous work experience in quality processes and technical documentation
Willing to work in a multicultural environment
Willing to travel
Knowledge of Requirement tool ( Doors, Polarion )
