Mechanical Assembler/Tester
- Assembling hydraulic components
- Testing, inspecting, and verifying the performance of hydraulic components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet required specifications and safety standards.
- Setting up and operating hydraulic test stands, diagnosing system issues, documenting results, and maintaining equipment in proper working condition.
- Observing instructions and regulations relating to environmental protection when carrying out assigned duties
- Notifying supervisor of any deviations
- Maintaining tools and equipment through preventative maintenance activities.
- Recommending and implementing value added changes to processes.
- Cross-training on other functions within the team.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment with daily cleaning (5S) activities.
- Performing other essential and related peripheral duties as assigned by Team Leader and Group Leader.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
- College Diploma in Fluid Power Technology or equivalent considered an asset
- General knowledge of hydraulic components, including mounting and operation
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
- High school diploma is required
- Motivate the assembly group through effective service to all key stakeholders
- Quality oriented with good communication skills
- Organized, ability to multi-task with a strong customer service orientation
- A team player, motivated, self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision or in a group environment
