Mechanical Assembler/Tester

  • Assembling hydraulic components
  • Testing, inspecting, and verifying the performance of hydraulic components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet required specifications and safety standards.
  • Setting up and operating hydraulic test stands, diagnosing system issues, documenting results, and maintaining equipment in proper working condition.
  • Observing instructions and regulations relating to environmental protection when carrying out assigned duties
  • Notifying supervisor of any deviations
  • Maintaining tools and equipment through preventative maintenance activities.
  • Recommending and implementing value added changes to processes.
  • Cross-training on other functions within the team.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment with daily cleaning (5S) activities.
  • Performing other essential and related peripheral duties as assigned by Team Leader and Group Leader.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
  • College Diploma in Fluid Power Technology or equivalent considered an asset
  • General knowledge of hydraulic components, including mounting and operation
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
  • High school diploma is required
  • Motivate the assembly group through effective service to all key stakeholders
  • Quality oriented with good communication skills
  • Organized, ability to multi-task with a strong customer service orientation
  • A team player, motivated, self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision or in a group environment
