Program Summary: Project HOPE is providing humanitarian assistance to the conflict-affected population in Gaza. The current response portfolio focuses on Health, Mental Health, Protection, and WASH programming through Project HOPE programs and local partnerships . Position Summary: Reporting to the MEAL Officer, the MEAL Assistant supports data entry, monitoring activities, accountability systems, and field-based data collection. The role ensures accurate data management, organized documentation, and adherence to data protection standards to support Project HOPE’s emergency response in Gaza. This position is being advertised contingent upon award; while the recruitment process will proceed as part of organizational preparedness, no formal offer will be extended until funding is confirmed RESPONSIBILITIES: Database Management Verify, clean, update, and maintain data in DHIS2, Kobo, or designated systems. Conduct regular backups and ensure organized archiving of documentation. Produce requested data summaries for team leaders. Participate in designing and preparing live and interactive dashboards for presenting progress using data from the field. Field Monitoring Data Collection Conduct and support field visits according to MEAL workplans , systematically documenting observations in field reports and sharing key findings with program teams to inform project adjustments. Assist in collecting data for surveys , needs assessments, baselines, PDMs, and evaluations. Participate in data verification and quality assurance processes. Orient and support field staff in using data collection platforms effectively Accountability Support Monitor and support Feedback and Complaints Mechanism (FCM/CFM). Conduct field visits to assess accessibility and effectiveness of FCM. Conduct sensitization sessions to inform community members about their rights and how to use the available feedback channels. Ensure project information ( objectives , selection criteria, etc.) is shared in a timely and accessible manner. Organize and facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and community meetings to gather qualitative feedback on project quality and satisfaction. Reporting Documentation Compile project data accurately and timely . Support preparation of cluster progress reports. Maintain organized documentation in shared systems. Ensure alignment with Project HOPE MEAL minimum standards and SOPs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences, business, or related field. 0-1 years of experience in data management or monitoring. Experience with digital data collection platforms is preferred. Strong attention to detail and data confidentiality awareness. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure humanitarian environments. Fluency in Arabic and English.
