As Global Marketing Director, you will lead the Global Marketing team for our Fragrance Ingredients Business (FIB) and drive creative strategies that connect our portfolio, markets and customers worldwide.

The position is based in Vernier, Switzerland, and reports to our Head of FIB.

 

Your role
You will be responsible for setting and implementing our global marketing vision and strategy. You will guide a team of marketing professionals to deliver impactful insights, compelling storytelling, and differentiated value propositions that inspire customers and strengthen our market leadership.

 

In this role, you will
•    Develop and execute a global marketing roadmap aligned to commercial and development priorities.
•    Champion innovation by introducing new marketing tools, digital solutions, and approaches based on emerging trends and customer insights.
•    Partner across regions and functions to design and lead global marketing and innovation programs with strong business impact.
•    Represent marketing within the FIB management team and bring the voice of the market and clients into strategic decision-making.
•    Oversee the global ingredients portfolio, ensuring relevance, competitiveness, differentiation and profitability.
•    Inspire, coach, and lead a diverse team of marketing experts in a collaborative, creative environment.
•    Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships, bringing Givaudan’s value proposition to life through engaging and tailored presentations.

 

Your profile
•    A senior marketing leader with at least 10-15 years of experience in B2B and/or B2C environments - ideally in fragrance, beauty, or consumer goods industries.
•    A proven track record of leading global marketing or commercial teams and driving business growth through innovative strategies.
•    Deep expertise in marketing and communication principles, including digital and social channels.
•    Strong analytical ability with a strategic mindset and a passion for trends, insights, and market dynamics.
•    Proficiency in Excel and similar analytical or presentation tools, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and actions.
•    Excellent leadership and collaboration skills - able to inspire diverse teams and manage relationships across regions and functions.
•    University degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
•    Olfactory curiosity or appreciation of fragrance language is an advantage.
