Manager, Undergrad Recruitment (Part-Time Contractor)
The Manager, Undergraduate Recruitment supports campus-based and regional outreach efforts, cultivates relationships with university stakeholders and local partners, and enhances MLT’s visibility within targeted markets through events, workshops, and community engagement.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Associate Directors, the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment & Admissions, and cross-functional partners in Events, Marketing, and Communications to drive implementation of recruitment campaigns and increase the number of qualified applicants. Success in this role looks like a detail-oriented, relationship-driven team player who can manage multiple priorities, build strong campus partnerships, and represent MLT’s mission with professionalism and energy. This role directly contributes to the growth and impact of Career Prep by helping ensure a steady pipeline of motivated students prepared to succeed in competitive career pathways.
This is a remote, part-time contractor role (20 hours per week) open to candidates located within MLT’s core hiring hubs: DMV (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia) and New York / New Jersey.

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?

Execute targeted campus recruitment strategies to attract qualified undergraduate applicants to the Career Prep program.

Build and maintain relationships with university faculty, student organizations, and community-based partners to enhance MLT’s visibility and engagement on campus.

Represent MLT at campus events, info sessions, professional development workshops, and in-class presentations to promote Career Prep and related offerings.

Coordinate with Recruiting Captains, MLT alumni, and internal staff to drive peer-to-peer outreach and support tailored engagement strategies.

Partner with the Events, Marketing, and Communications teams to plan and promote high-impact recruitment events and develop region-specific outreach materials.

Maintain regular on-campus presence (as permitted), including office hours, tabling, and other visibility-building activities.

Track outreach activity and contribute to recruitment reporting and dashboards to assess campaign effectiveness and support data-informed decision-making.

Collaborate with the Ascend and College Programs teams to support pipeline-building workshops and College & Career Readiness initiatives at high schools and local nonprofits.

What qualifications would help you succeed in this role?

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in undergraduate recruitment, admissions, student affairs, or related outreach roles.

Experience building relationships with university stakeholders, student organizations, and/or community-based partners.

Familiarity with recruitment and outreach tools such as LinkedIn, Handshake, and email campaign platforms; experience with CRM or applicant tracking systems is a plus.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
