Manager, Operations Finance

This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, Utah.

What is a day in the life of a Manager, Operations Finance?
Cross-functional collaboration/leadership: frequent partnership with operations, sales, and finance leadership to solve important business problems and lead important business initiatives
Financial Reporting: creating, improving, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
Strategic Finance: complex financial and operations modeling to assist operations leadership in strategic decision-making
Leadership: Leading and developing other team members
What will I need to thrive in this role?
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business, or other related field
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in both finance and operations/supply chain
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
Expertise in international finance or operations including the complexities and regulations of cross border commerce
Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or inventory management
Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders
Proven experience solving complex financial and operational problems related to warehousing, transportation, labor planning, etc.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?
In the first 30 days:
Familiarize yourself with all aspects of Pattern’s business with a focus on understanding the people, processes, and interdependencies between finance and operations
Collaborate with international business partners to understand current business processes and build a vision to support expansion and growth
Immerse yourself in Pattern’s S&OP function driving demand forecast alignment and responsible supply decisions in collaboration with Inventory Management and eCommerce Management
By day 60:
Create and present the operations monthly financial reporting package
Influence the growth and expansion of the international business through detailed financial analysis to identify areas of opportunity/risk and partner with business owners on new strategies
Lead Pattern’s S&OP function becoming a facilitator for cross-functional alignment of Pattern demand planning and inventory buying decisions
Build AI-backed, automated tools to increase the efficiency of existing processes/support new processes
Improve rigor of analysis and forecasting in warehouse network planning
Own analysis and make strategic recommendations related to warehouse optimization, labor planning, etc.
Demonstrate ability to build relationships with Pattern leadership and collaborate and connect the dots across finance, operations, and accounting
Within the first 90 days:
Provide actionable suggestions on how to drive savings, improve processes, and build tools to automate and scale our work
Own and enhance the excess inventory process to maximize Pattern return operationalize the excess management decision tree
Collaborate with operations leadership to design and implement an improved tactical operational planning process that captures available capacity, product mix, labor requirements, trucking capacity, etc.
What is the team like?
You will report to the Director of Operations Finance and interface regularly with the VP of Finance and VPs of Operations. You’ll also work collaboratively with the FP&A and Commercial Finance teams, as well as global finance and operations partners in Asia, Europe, and Australia. Lastly, you’ll be involved in growing and scaling the Operations Finance team to handle our rapid growth.
