We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager Investments to join our Finance team in our Adelaide or Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Investments, you will play a key role in leading the finance function for APA’s investment vehicles, acting as a trusted advisor to the business to drive financial performance, informed decision-making and long-term value for both APA and the Investment Entities.
As part of an ASX-listed organisation at the forefront of the energy transition, you will work across a portfolio of critical energy infrastructure assets with strong growth and optimisation opportunities.
Leading a small team, you will combine strong financial capability with commercial insight to influence outcomes and support the ongoing performance of APA’s investments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the finance function for APA’s investment entities and joint ventures, delivering high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance insights.
Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and challenge to support performance optimisation and strategic decision-making across existing investments.
Drive performance management, analysing financial and operational KPIs to identify trends, risks and opportunities to enhance value.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and long-term performance objectives.
Embed strong governance, risk management and financial controls, ensuring compliance and integrity across investment entities.
Build and lead a high-performing team, while strengthening relationships with Investment Entity Boards, investor representatives and internal stakeholders.
Your Background
Strong experience in commercial finance, business partnering or asset / portfolio finance, ideally within infrastructure, energy or complex asset-based environments.
Proven ability to influence and support performance and operational decision-making, rather than transaction-based investment activity.
Expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting and performance management, with a strong commercial mindset.
Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience developing and leading high-performing teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders and Boards.
Understanding of, or interest in, the energy sector and infrastructure asset environment, particularly in the context of performance optimisation and long-term value.
