Your role at a glance

The Manager –Capital Planning and Analysis (m/f/d), is responsible for overseeing portfolio performance and capital planning initiatives across the global investment pipeline. This role gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes financial recommendations on new capital investments and large sales opportunities. It works closely with Sales, Construction, Product, Investment, and other stakeholders to build business case models for new and existing locations, analyze profitability, provide strategic financial recommendations, and monitor performance against plans.
In addition to advanced financial modeling and analysis, the Manager leads and develops a small team of analysts, ensuring high quality deliverables, clear stakeholder communication, and effective cross functional collaboration.

What we are looking for

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts; provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Establish department sub‑processes in collaboration with the Senior Director.
  • Allocate tasks, set priorities, review work products, and ensure timely completion of team deliverables.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Construction, Product, Investment) to gather assumptions and build business cases for new sites.
  • Assess business case inputs for reasonableness; benchmark against comparable investments.
  • Maintain business cases with actuals and revised forecasts; compare outcomes to original assumptions.
  • Analyze financial results and evaluate asset/portfolio performance.
  • Calculate and interpret key financial measures (IRR, NPV, terminal value).
  • Collaborate with Sales to review large deal commercial terms and prepare profitability analyses for board approval.
  • Integrate large deal opportunities into business cases to assess impact on project profitability and budgets.
  • Prepare cost comparison analyses as requested.
  • Create executive‑ready PowerPoint presentations conveying portfolio metrics and investment economics.
  • Oversee and support other projects assigned to Finance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of capital budgeting, investment analysis, and portfolio performance measurement.
  • Advanced Excel skills for manipulating large datasets and extracting strategic insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to create clear, contextual presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Revenue recognition knowledge preferred.
