Manager - Mechanical
Purpose/Objective
The Manager - Mechanical will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving mechanical engineering operations within the Power/Energy sector at Adani.
This position requires a strategic and hands-on leader with deep expertise in mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and project execution to ensure the highest levels of operational excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities of Role
- Mechanical Operations Management: Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of all mechanical engineering activities related to power plant machinery, equipment, and auxiliary systems, ensuring alignment with operational goals and timelines.
- Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and implement predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs to optimize asset availability and reduce downtime, while enhancing the lifecycle of mechanical assets.
- Project Management: Oversee mechanical aspects of new projects, upgrades, and retrofits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and quality completion within budgetary constraints.
- Technical Leadership and Troubleshooting: Provide expert guidance and support for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining safety and compliance standards.
- Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure the procurement and quality of mechanical parts and services, negotiating contracts that align with company objectives.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical operations comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and risk mitigation across the mechanical team.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets for mechanical engineering activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Team Development and Mentorship: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing mechanical engineering team, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish KPIs for mechanical operations, regularly monitor performance, and generate detailed reports to inform senior management for strategic decision-making.

Technical Competencies
In-depth knowledge of power plant mechanical systems, including turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems.
,Proficiency in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and mechanical design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
,Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and Indian standards applicable to power plants.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
