Maintenance Technician
This position is responsible for maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, plant utilities, and buildings. The incumbent is responsible for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and facility repairs. Repairs malfunctioning machines and equipment in a timely manner, and escalates problems requiring assistance to the supervisor for corrective action Responsible for maintaining equipment such as air compressors, forklift batteries, trash compactors, stretch wrappers, cranes and lifting equipment as well as basic plumbing (sinks, toilets), and repair of pneumatic air lines, tools, and production equipment Complete scheduled inspections of dock plates and overhead doors, fire extinguishers and emergency lights, and warehouse racking Keeps detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Use and maintains a variety of hand and power tools safely, ensuring they are properly stored, accounted for, and kept in good working condition Experience operating scissor lifts and comfortable working at heights Building/assembling of workstations, office furniture, hanging banners or signage Installs and relocates safety barriers and bollards by securely anchoring them in concrete to support equipment moves and ensure workplace safety Assists in the installation and relocation involving production machines and equipment alongside external vendors as necessary Keeps the maintenance crib clean and orderly while managing tool and part inventory for accountability and efficiency High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. Minimum of three (3) maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools, including tape measures. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods during maintenance activities. Experience operating equipment at elevated heights and working with automated conveyor systems. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Indianapolis, IN will be considered for this position. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, noisy, or confined spaces.
