Maintenance Technician
What You Get To Do:
As the Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for all preventative, corrective, and renovative maintenance of assigned buildings, grounds, vehicles, and property including planning, implementation, quality assurance, and budget adherence.
This is an unlimited driving position -- it requires you to drive a motor vehicle as a part of his/her Dungarvin work, including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin, and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported.
Wage: $22.45/hr
Location: Dungarvin Madison, Janesville, Baraboo, and Lyndon Station, Wisconsin
Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday. Schedule must be flexible to accommodate special needs and projects.
Core Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with peers in a way which upholds the Dungarvin mission.
- Promote solution focused, positive and clear communications.
- Provide leadership and direction in promoting the concepts set forth in the program sites and organization’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Provide quality, timely and cost-effective customer service.
- Maintain written and verbal communication with the supervisor and other personnel.
- Promote positive teamwork with program staff and other organizational departments.
- To be knowledgeable about the Maintenance Request System.
- Accomplish assigned maintenance tasks to the standard of quality, priorities, and efficiency determined by the supervisor.

- Work safely and keep work area safe for others.
- Maintain records and complete documentation of work accomplished, time, purchases, etc. as requested by the supervisor.
- Help in the preparation of annual maintenance plans.
- Track annual maintenance plans.
- Act as “foreman” on jobs performed internally.
- Have available an appropriate and reliable means of transportation and basic tools to facilitate assigned responsibilities (reimbursement for use of vehicle to be in accordance with current reimbursement practice).
- Orient other maintenance and household staff.
- Initiate and attend all required orientation/trainings as defined in policy.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- At least (2) years experience in building maintenance including heating, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
- Must have at least a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must possess ability to evaluate cost effectiveness and preventative measures.
- Must have good decision-making and communication skills, be responsible, mature, flexible, and able to work independently and as a team member.
- Must have own vehicle and US Driver's License transportation.
