Reporting to Maintenance Manager in Hong Kong, the incumbent ensures that maintenance activities are performed in full compliance with all Company, Manufacture’s and Governmental policies, practices and regulations, in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all departing aircraft are serviceable in accordance with the FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations), with all work performed properly documented and all equipment required for the conditions of the flight is aboard and properly stowed
- Director, supervise and collaborate closely with vendor and their mechanics on all work, operations and procedures about routine, non-routine or emergency maintenance on aircraft, to the highest quality and safety standards, in accordance with rules and regulations from the company, manufacturer and government
- Ensure equipment used is proper to its application and adequate for the planned usage and avoid excessive cost or unnecessary duplication of labor employed and
- Evaluate maintenance discrepancies and coordinate with the Technical Services Group in order to accomplish a prompt resolution to problems and issues
- Manage the provision of contingency plans to cover operational requirements such as diversions, ad-hoc operations, major technical failures, incidents and accidents
- Ensure aircraft health monitoring is carried out to assess aircraft serviceability and respond accordingly
- Complies with all company rules and regulations regarding industrial safety
- Occasional travel is needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above in engineering or related discipline
Proven hands-on experience with at least 5 years of line maintenance experience and ramp services, within which 3 years in a supervisory or lead capacity
- FAA A&P license (Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certificate which is issued by the Federal Aviation Administration) is a must
- Problem solver who can make judgements and give directions to vendors on spot
- Excellent communication skills who can coach and lead while at the same time drive for results
- Possess Boeing 747/ 767/ 777 experience would be strongly preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English
