The Role:
The Maintenance Planner - will coordinate the strategic planning process in partnership with the Maintenance and Operations team to identify opportunities, develop action plans/initiatives to achieve defined short, mid, and long-term portfolio/business plan deliverables. In this role you will be responsible for tracking execution and results, ensuring action items are completed on time, and facilitating communication to the Maintenance team. This position will mainly be on first shift but will work off-shift and overtime as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Lead maintenance planning and execution for Milford Process Equipment, ensuring equipment reliability and readiness.
- Support launch activities by developing maintenance plans aligned with vehicle build processes and production schedules.
- Integrate quality and GMS principles into maintenance operations and team culture.
- Partner with engineering, Facilities, Operations teams to ensure seamless maintenance support.
- Influence performance and problem-solving efforts across functional boundaries without direct supervisory authority.
- Own and drive key maintenance KPIs, including uptime, MTTR, PM compliance, and equipment health metrics.
- Develop and maintain process control plans to support proactive maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Apply GMS and Practical Problem Solving (PPS) methodologies to resolve complex issues and prevent recurrence.
- Utilize GPM&C, MAXIMO, and scheduling systems to plan, track, and optimize maintenance activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity across all maintenance systems.
- Prepares and communicates performance data (reports, scorecards, one-pagers, meeting minutes, etc.)
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in facilities and maintenance operations
- Proven leadership in managing multi skilled trade teams and salaried staff
- Strong background in change management, team building, and business planning
- Experience with OSHA-regulated standards and environmental compliance
- Skilled in project management, vendor coordination, and budget control
- Proficiency in Maximo, BPD, and process improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional problem-solving and process control initiatives.
- Comfort navigating maintenance systems and presenting complex data in a clear, strategic format.
- Commitment to quality through proactive maintenance and process control.
- Experience with GMS
- Project Management skills
- Experience using data visualization applications (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience automating Microsoft Excel documents with VBA macros
