Job Description:
insightsoftware is seeking a Solutions Engineer reporting directly to the Director of Solution Engineering. This position will handle product demonstrations, pre-sales support and partner enablement for our tax business unit. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our sales and post-sales teams, providing expert guidance to prospects on how our products can address their specific business challenges. You should have a consulting mindset and experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions. This is a remote based role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our tax solution, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor presentations that demonstrate how our solutions can meet those requirements.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Solution Design: Work closely with prospects to design custom solutions that align with their business processes and objectives.
Proposal Development: Assist in crafting detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with prospect needs.
Feedback Loop: Gather insights from prospect interactions to inform product development and enhance our solutions.
Webinars and Video’s: Participate in webinars as tax subject matter expert, providing demo’s for webinar topics, and recording general videos for use by marketing and sales teams.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a tax role, in industry or public accounting as a consultant. Presenting to mixed teams, varying from staff level accountants to the Vice President of Tax. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to think quickly to respond to customer questions and convey complex technical concepts.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax platforms and a solid understanding of tax provision, transfer pricing, and BEPS reporting requirements.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client challenges.
Ability to travel up to 60% of your time
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment.
Experience Longview Tax or other tax provision platforms.
Experience with Rest APIs.
Technical computer knowledge.
The salary range in United States of America for this position is 111,000.00 to 139,000.00 USD Annual.
Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
