Job Summary
insightsoftware is seeking a Manager of Product Management for Equity Reporting to lead the reporting product function within the Equity product organization. This is a people and project management role responsible for leading a team of Product Managers focused on the full spectrum of reporting capabilities within Certent Equity Management — spanning financial reporting, admin reporting, and BI reporting. The Manager of Reporting ensures the team operates with clarity, alignment, and velocity: coordinating roadmap dependencies across reporting domains, removing execution blockers, developing team members, and serving as an escalation point for cross-functional reporting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
People Management & Team Development
Directly manage a team of Product Managers responsible for financial reporting, admin reporting, and BI reporting (Logi symphony) within the Equity product organization
Set clear goals and performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
Identify skill development opportunities and support team members in growing their product management capabilities and equity domain expertise
Foster a collaborative, high-accountability team culture aligned with insightsoftware's core values
Roadmap Coordination & Planning
Coordinate roadmap planning and prioritization across all reporting domains, ensuring dependencies are identified, communicated, and resolved proactively
Partner with the Director/VP of Product to align the reporting roadmap with broader Equity product strategy and company objectives
Facilitate cross-domain planning sessions to align Financial Reporting, Admin Reporting, and BI Reporting Product Managers on shared data models, release timelines, and integration points
Own the reporting team's intake and prioritization process, balancing competing customer requests, regulatory requirements, and strategic initiatives
Execution & Delivery Oversight
Monitor delivery progress across reporting workstreams, identifying and removing blockers that impede team velocity
Serve as an escalation point for cross-functional issues involving engineering, Professional Services, Compliance, or go-to-market teams
Ensure that PRDs and product specifications produced by the team meet the quality bar required for financial services SaaS
Drive consistency in product management practices, documentation standards, and Agile ceremonies across the reporting team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Represent the reporting product team in leadership forums, sprint reviews, and cross-functional planning sessions
Partner with Engineering leadership to manage capacity, dependencies, and technical debt across reporting initiatives
Collaborate with Professional Services on escalated customer reporting implementation challenges
Work with Product Marketing on coordinated release communications for reporting features across financial, admin, and analytics surfaces
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with key customers and customer advisory groups to gather strategic input on reporting capabilities and roadmap direction
Support Sales in strategic deal cycles involving reporting capabilities, including RFP responses and executive-level presentations
Serve as a senior reporting domain SME and spokesperson for internal and external partners, analyst relations, and industry events
Required Qualifications
Experience
7+ years of progressive experience in product management, with at least two years in a people management or team lead capacity
5+ years of experience in equity management, equity compensation, or financial services SaaS
Proven track record of leading multi-domain product teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery programs
Demonstrated ability to develop and coach product management talent
Exceptional communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
Technical & Domain Knowledge
Solid understanding of equity reporting domains, including financial reporting (ASC 718, IFRS 2), administrative reporting, and embedded analytics
Familiarity with equity compensation plan types and the data structures that underpin equity administration platforms
Ability to engage credibly with engineering leadership on architecture, data modeling, and integration trade-offs
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management frameworks at scale
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required
Preferred Qualifications
CEP (Certified Equity Professional) certification is a plus
MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
Experience managing product teams across multiple concurrent reporting workstreams
Familiarity with equity administration platforms such as Certent Equity Management
Experience in a high-growth, acquisition-oriented SaaS company
