Machining Toolmaking Technician

Qualifications Mechanical Manufacturing Technician qualification or equivalent technical background Strong expertise in adjusting, assembling, and maintaining production tooling Advanced knowledge of the Heidenhain control system and CNC programming Proficient in CAD/CAM software, with the ability to interpret and create technical models and machining paths Solid MS Office skills, including data reporting, documentation, and communication tools Responsibilities Operate and oversee CNC machinery used for manufacturing tool components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards. Perform CNC milling operations on graphite and steel materials with precision and process accuracy. Conduct flat grinding and optical profile grinding to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes. Prepare raw materials and ensure correct setup for machining operations. Perform polishing, sink erosion (EDM), and wire cutting processes, ensuring high‑quality results and optimal machine performance.
