Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer

The Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer supports and advances Lytx’s global collaboration and productivity ecosystem. This role serves as the primary engineering owner for Microsoft 365 tenant operations, driving continuous improvement, reliability, and automation across collaboration services. It provides senior technical ownership of the M365 platform — including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive — ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized services for all employees.

The engineer will play a critical role in Lytx’s ongoing Digital Workplace transformation, enabling users to collaborate efficiently while meeting corporate compliance and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration, health, and enhancement of M365 tenant and services.
• Serve as the escalation point and technical authority for Tier-3 incidents, ensuring high platform reliability and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Security and Network teams to manage Conditional Access, DLP, and compliance configurations.
• Automate recurring tasks via PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize new Microsoft 365 capabilities (Copilot, Loop, Mesh, etc.) to enhance productivity and digital experience.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code or configuration management approaches for repeatable and auditable tenant configuration.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure platform scalability, data sovereignty, and hybrid coexistence best practices.
• Document and maintain operational standards, procedures, and knowledgebase articles for global support continuity.
• Monitor usage trends and adoption metrics, recommending improvements for collaboration effectiveness and license optimization.
• Co-own the roadmap for M365 platform evolution, lifecycle management, and feature enablement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in IT systems administration or engineering with 4+ years directly supporting Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Strong experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive administration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API automation.
• Knowledge of Intune, Conditional Access, and M365 security/compliance configuration.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale tenants and hybrid environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with a focus on customer experience and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Okta, Active Directory, or Azure AD integration.
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator, Teams Administrator, or Enterprise Administrator Expert.
• Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, Flow) and reporting (Power BI, Viva Insights).
