Lower School Spanish Teacher (.8 FTE)

Head-Royce School is seeking a part-time Lower School Spanish teacher (.8 FTE) to join our team, beginning in August 2026. We seek teachers who are not only excited by the content they teach, but who are also actively engaged in evolving their classroom pedagogy. The Lower School Spanish teacher will be responsible for teaching introductory Spanish in grades kindergarten through 5th grade Head-Royce School envisions a future where education unlocks the promise and purpose of every student to better the world. Our faculty create classrooms that encourage students to participate in experiential learning, take risks, view the world through multiple lenses, utilize innovative tools, and demonstrate proficiencies through a range of assessments that include real world problems and performances. Beyond the classroom, teachers are expected to take on Upper School duties such as advising as well as to participate in the life of the community. We seek applicants who have a strong academic background, experience in culturally responsive teaching, a deep understanding of adolescents, and a genuine fondness for working with all students at this specific age level.
