Cleaner required for busy Forecourt Store in Casey’s LONDIS Castlebar

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Floor Maintenance: Regularly sweep, mop, mop, and vacuum all sales areas, aisles, and storage areas.

• Sanitization & Safety: Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including checkout counters, trolley handles, and handrails.

• Restroom Sanitation: Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms with toiletries.

• Spill Response: Promptly clean up spills and accidents to maintain safety, often requiring the use of hazard signage.

• Waste Management: Gather, empty trash bins, and dispose of waste in designated areas.

• Store Appearance: Maintain clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and entrance areas.

• Supply Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Requirements and Skills

• Ability to Work Safely: Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, health and safety regulations, including handling cleaning chemicals and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for cleanliness to maintain the store’s appearance.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, bend, and move equipment.

• Reliability: Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Flexibility: Often requires early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.
