Our European Business Analytics department is looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst, excited to work in a fast-paced supply chain environment.
The successful applicant will work on the conceptualization, development and implementation of supply chain based and cost-related dashboards, reports and tools in accordance with the organization-wide Business Intelligence agenda.
Data Analyst Role purpose:
- Supporting the wider business in retrieving and cleansing all customer and 3rd parties master data, feeding Lead Logistic Provider Systems as per required standards.
- Assisting that the business understands and focuses on objective priorities and cost down initiatives are identified and implemented based on actual master data.
- Turning raw business data into critical and coordinated information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
- Creating, maintaining and continuously improving the KPIs suite agreed with the customer under the relevant IT platform.
- Supporting the development of innovative and impactful software solutions that drive tangible value for our clients.
Key Tasks:
- Implementation of Business Intelligence solutions and creation of web-based KPI dashboards for customers and internal stakeholders with the software package “Microsoft Power BI”.
- Development and creation of ad-hoc reports and presentations.
- Development of automation for current data management tasks, including master data updates and data quality checks.
- Assistance in upcoming & ongoing transformational IT projects and process redesigns (development support, user testing, process documentation, etc.).
- Support of the KPI reporting and monitoring process for the customer (e.g. transport network performance, time-window performance and CO2 emissions).
- Participation in special customer projects and concept studies.
- Develop software solutions that can create value to our customers.
- To make sure that all Business Master Data is accurate, congruent and reliable, and harvested and processed in line with DHL / customer standards, and foremost, in line with specific legislative requirements.
- Receive data from different stakeholders and ensure proper cleansing and transforming to update and maintaining accurate master data in transportation system.
- Ability to automate all these tasks for a reliable and efficient process.
- Automating master data routines, implementing data quality checks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master degree in engineering, data science, IT, or related field of study. Other backgrounds can be evaluated if the candidate demonstrates wide technical skills.
- Profound working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
- Coding skills in Python and SQL languages.
- Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented approach.
- Affinity for numbers and data analysis / Competence in data manipulation skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in MS Excel (VBA).
- English spoken and written.
Desirable:
- First professional experience with additional data handling and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Alteryx).
- Experimented in computational statistics and data modelling.
- Knowledge and experimentation in Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience using APIs for requesting and pushing data between different systems, ensuring seamless integration and data synchronization.
- Strong communication skills and team player.
