Description:

·        Seeking male-presenting vocalist to perform in the style of Coldplay or Imagine Dragons

·        Seeking female-presenting vocalist to perform in the style of Ellie Goulding or Florence + the Machine

Audition Requirements:

·         A current résumé with headshot attached

·             All Vocalists, please prepare two 32-bar selections that showcase your pop style and vocal range

Eligibility & Availability:

·         Performers must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.

·         Candidates must be available for all day time rehearsals (schedule discussed at the audition) and select performance days from June 12 through Labor Day weekend.

• Serve as an expert performer for assigned role
• Perform regularly in costume in assigned area adhering to set and/or show schedule
• Openly accept performance feedback and critique, and adapt accordingly to maintain a high standard of performance
• Provide solution-based ideas to solve problems
• Support the team’s daily activities
• Execute backstage tasks as outlined in daily schedule
• Assist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed
• Ensure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this position
• Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality
• Ability to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly
• Ability to work in indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature while performing in a character costume
• Demonstrated strong costume and escorting skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work varying shifts and hours based on business needs; available to work opening, mid, closing, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as after hour rehearsals
• Ability to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intent
• Ability to maintain character integrity
• Willingness to participate in regular internal performance assessments
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities, kneeling, bending, squatting, jumping, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals

What else is important:

• Previous costume character, vocal experience, and/or dance experience preferred
• Previous guest experience in a high volume capacity preferred
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
