Litigation Attorney (Employment)
Associate Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a growing, well-respected plaintiff-side law firm with a strong focus on expanding their labor & employment practice. They handle wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims. We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney for the Las Vegas office across the street from "TPC Las Vegas." If you do not have labor & employment experience, the firm is open to training the right candidate and providing mentorship to support long-term growth in this practice area.
Duties:
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, and other employment-related filings (e.g., wrongful termination, wage & hour, harassment, and discrimination claims)
Manage all aspects of written discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests
Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences
Draft and argue substantive motions, including oppositions to motions for summary judgment and motions to compel
Appear in Nevada state and/or federal court for hearings, case management conferences, and motion practice
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop a case strategy and litigation approach
Analyze and evaluate damages, including unpaid wages, emotional distress, and potential punitive damages
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process
Work closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements
Requirements:
Licensed to practice in Nevada
J.D. from an accredited law school
1 - 5 years of experience in Labor & Employment Law or Civil Litigation (Strongly encouraged to apply if interested in transitioning)
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment
Desire to grow within plaintiff-side employment law
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Income Range: $120,000 – $160,000 (DOE)
Plus an attorney fee structure
