Litho Second Printing Press Operator (K&B & KBA Presses)

The Second Pressman is responsible for assisting the Lead Pressman on either press, in proper sheet size setup, hanging plates when needed, making sure die layout, ink and substrate match the job order, color proof, and die line. The Second Pressman will assist in plate registration and ink film thickness until the proper house density and/or (Lab values) are reached, or the printed piece matches the customers approved (signed) color proof. The Second Pressman will assist in monitoring the in-process job for imperfections, hickies, paper lint buildup etc. and scan sheets to maintain strict color control using the scanning spectrophotometer in accordance with company policies and QC procedures. The Second Pressman will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Floater and Feeder operator, assisting the Lead Pressman by efficiently staging jobs, washups, makeready materials, and overall print production, and quality of the product being manufactured on Press.
