Job Purpose

Lead off‑site beverage catering sales from inquiry to post‑event, managing 1,200+ annual leads, booking 300–500 events, nurturing client relationships, and driving strong sales and service outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities (70%)

  • Coordinate all aspects of our off-site beverage catering sales for Liquid Catering. Work with the Client throughout the booking process, managing the account from the first inquiry to the post-event follow-up. We receive about 1,200 inquires a year, and book 300-500 events per year.

  • Respond to and process all client inquiries and questions within appropriate limits as fast as possible, preferably within one hour during business hours. Filter requests to specific team members on items they need to address. 

  • Update client invoices, proposals, contracts, and payment schedules as requested. 

  • Place product and rental orders.

  • Communicate with venues and event planners as needed.

  • Maintain contact and company records in the company's CRM system. 

  • Complete automated tasks assigned by the CRM system. 

  • Responsible for maintaining our corporate book of business by cold calling, nurturing, and engaging corporate leads and converting them into new business. 

  • Develop and nurture relationships with venues, event planners, caterers, and other industry professionals.

  • Be an expert with all products and services offered by our company. Responsible for communicating details of these products, services, and applicable policies to our clients. 

  • Accountable for meeting monthly and annual sales goals, as well as both financial and customer satisfaction goals. 

  • Attend networking events, training, and development sessions as required. 

  • Manage all client and vendor issues according to our company standards for conflict resolution. 

  • Ensure customer service standards are held to the highest expectations. Appropriately manage conflicts with clients according to company values. Communicate unsatisfactory feedback regarding the performance of staff members to the appropriate staff. 

Administrative & Event Execution (30%)

  • Work with the Finance Team to ensure all payments and deposits are made and client billing is accounted for in a timely manner. 

  • Ensure all day-of event logistic details are recorded and communicated to our Operations Team. Conduct venue site surveys when needed.

  • Work 2-3 events a month in a supervisory or bartending role.

  • Coordinate all post event follow-up surveys and thank-you notes.

  • Periodically assist the venue sales team with Open Houses and other projects.

  • Complete all special projects as assigned.

Typical Schedule

As this is an office and event-based job, our Liquid Catering Sales Representative will spend about 90% of their time in the office with 10% of the time on events. You can expect to work 2-4 evening/weekend shifts per month, with most of those events running Thursday-Saturday. Office hours are flexible, although it’s required that you be in the office Tuesday-Thursday from 9-4. Our weekly pay period runs Wednesday-Tuesday with the pay date on the following Tuesday. There is some seasonality to the event portion of this position, with our high season being April-June and September-December.

Expectations

  • Attend and be well-prepared for all event shifts, staff meetings, training, and retreats.

  • Manage and prioritize incoming tasks and requests from the CEO and senior team members.

  • Must be able to complete tasks on time and efficiently.

  • Own a cell phone with text, voice, and data plan that can be used for work purposes.

  • Must use company technology tools appropriately.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and guests.

  • Must be able to think critically and problem solve, sometimes in very high stress situations.

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Come to work with a positive attitude, ready to work hard and be a supportive team member.

  • Be familiar with all policies, products, and services offered by our company.

  • Must have a vehicle and be able to drive between locations.
