Online application

When you find an exciting opportunity, simply select the Apply option. You'll be directed to our online portal to complete a straightforward application.

Once your CV has been submitted you will receive access to your candidate homepage, where we provide real time updates to the status of your application and all future applications you may make. We encourage you to retain your logins as these will be needed to ensure access.

Your CV and application should highlight your skills and experiences relevant to the role which you are applying to. We want to know about your achievements and why you feel you are the best candidate for the role!

Interview

Interviews at M&G aim to evaluate your skills, behaviours, experience, and overall suitability for the role, as well as your potential for success within our organisation. We want to learn more about you beyond what is listed on your CV, uncovering your full potential to make a positive impact at M&G.

Depending on the role and location, we conduct both remote and in-person interviews, ensuring a flexible and engaging experience. Our interview formats typically combine competency-based, technical, and strength-based questions, offering you the chance to meet future colleagues and key stakeholders you’ll work closely with. Depending on the role your interview might also include a presentation or case study or could be in the format of an assessment centre. We will provide all the details in advance, so you can prepare and plan accordingly.

It is our goal to ensure our interview process is accessible, inclusive and fair to all applicants. All candidates will be given the opportunity to request reasonable adjustments to ensure you are appropriately supported at all stages.

Online assessment

You may be requested to complete an online assessment or video interview. The assessment is tailored to the job level of the role and assesses a broad range of skills and ways of working. It’s easy for you to access and complete at home. This helps us ensure we are making informed and objective hiring decisions, ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process.

For some senior and executive hires we require a more in-depth assessment.

Offer and onboarding

After receiving an offer, you'll soon receive your contract online to review and accept, followed by contact from our screening partner. In the weeks leading up to your start date, our onboarding team and screening partner will be there to guide you through all the necessary steps. Your Manager will also get in touch before your first day to ensure you're fully prepared and equipped for a Winning Start.

First day

A Winning Start is M&G's corporate induction for all new colleagues to M&G.

To ensure you have a successful role transition to M&G ‘A Winning Start’ will support you through your first 10 weeks here at M&G, giving you access to your very own digital magazine and hub introducing you to M&G, our Purpose, Drivers and Behaviours and what development opportunities are available to you to support your career at M&G. The information in your Winning Start guides will help you understand more about M&G, the investment we make in our colleagues and the role you play in building the bright future ahead of us.

Additionally you will be invited to attend our virtual Winning Start new starter session where you will joined by one of M&G’s senior leaders who will provide an overview of M&G, alongside this you will also be invited to attend our Unlocking the power of digital learning sessions where you will receive insights into our digital learning offering including a run through of Viva Learning, Go1 and Linkedin Learning.
