LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) - Home Delivery
Pay Rate: £42,802 per annum based on a 48 hour week (overtime paid after 208 hours per month paid at time and a half)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: week 1 (4 on 2 off) week 2 (4 on 2 off) and week 3 (5 on 2 off) Will include weekend working - 06:00 start time
Location: Daventry (NN6 7GW) (just off junction 18 M1)
DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an LGV Cat C Driver (Home Delivery) to play a vital role in our distribution service.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Work pattern: week 1 (4 on 2 off) week 2 (4 on 2 off) and week 3 (5 on 2 off) Will include weekend working.
- Home delivery of furniture items with a drivers mate - average 25 drops per day across the wider Midlands area - approx 11.25 hour days
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- You will hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card - and have a MINIMUM of 6 months 'on the road' commercial LGV Cat C experience
- Ideally have home delivery experience and excellent customer service skills
- Prepared to carry out manual handling - physical role
- Live locally to Crick, Northants NN6 7GW
