The IT Quality Assurance Senior Manager is accountable for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable Salesforce-based products and services. This role leads the quality engineering function, driving strategic testing initiatives and operational excellence across multiple concurrent programs. The Senior Manager will oversee a team of QA engineers, establish robust testing frameworks, and ensure alignment with enterprise Salesforce engineering standards. This leader will define and execute comprehensive test strategies, enable automation at scale, and act as a key advisor to engineering and product leadership on quality best practices.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of QA engineers supporting Salesforce platforms and related integrations.
Manage QA resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization, scalability, and alignment with delivery priorities.
Partner with product management, engineering, and architecture teams to define comprehensive test strategies, coverage models, and release quality criteria.
Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize enterprise-level QA processes, standards, and governance frameworks.
Monitor testing progress against plans, proactively mitigating risks, adjusting priorities, and ensuring timely delivery of quality releases.
Establish and deliver actionable quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Drive accountability for quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to timelines, release standards, and defect management protocols.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture to evaluate, select, and implement best-in-class test automation tools and frameworks aligned with Salesforce ecosystems.
Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of automated testing, including UI, API, regression, and performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all testing levels: unit, integration, system, UAT, smoke, end-to-end, performance, and security testing.
Stay current with emerging QA technologies, Salesforce platform advancements, and industry best practices; incorporate innovations into QA strategy.
Lead estimation efforts for QA activities, including impact assessments for scope changes and release modifications.
Review and enforce high-quality test documentation standards, ensuring traceability, completeness, and audit readiness.
Build and cultivate a high-performing QA organization, focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and delivery excellence.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering career growth, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Serve as a subject matter expert in quality engineering within the Salesforce domain, influencing cross-functional decision-making.
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous quality improvement across the engineering organization.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
5+ years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud and related ecosystem components.
Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
Proven ability to lead, scale, and develop high-performing technical teams.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise across SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, test lifecycle management, and industry-standard tools (e.g., ALM, Selenium, Serenity, or equivalent).
Extensive experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in validating complex Salesforce implementations, including custom objects, Apex, integrations, and workflows.
Experience testing across relational and NoSQL databases; strong SQL proficiency required.
Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into comprehensive, risk-based test coverage.
Expertise in developing and presenting QA metrics, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.
Strong capability in defining and governing test strategies, plans, and cases with full traceability and auditability.
Experience leading peer reviews and quality inspections of test artifacts and deliverables.
Ability to define and validate non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, and integration constraints.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. Up to 25% travel is required.
