Marsh is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Lead Specialist – Finance Operations Mumbai.
What can you expect?
- Preparation and review of accounting entries
- Adherence to operation tracker set for the team and ensure completeness with accuracy
- Monthly review and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations, reporting exceptions on a timely manner
- Driving Balance sheet exception clearance with a good knowledge on FX / exchange gain or loss and its accounting per various standards
- Knowledge of fiduciary transactions and its accounting
- Preparation of weekly regulatory reporting (CMC), supporting CMC audit
- Bank outstanding clearance and ensuring no aged items are outstanding, escalating any aged items and work towards its clearance with controllers
- Driving financial trends, variance analysis, monthly performances vs. forecast , suggesting process improvements
- Provide audit reporting support.

We will count on you to:
- Take end to end responsibility of delivery and review of the work done by the junior team members.
- Take on additional activities within the existing bandwidth.
What you need to have:
- Qualified CA or equivalent Accounting degree
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting and finalization of accounts
- Strong excel skills with knowledge of building excel macros
- Prior experience in working in similar roles
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 12 months experience as Senior Specialist
- Should have at least “On track” or above in last appraisal
- Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months
- Should not have applied for any other IJP within Mercer in the last 3 months

- Prior working experience in Insurance Sector
- System knowledge about Oracle, Hyperion & Essbase
- Experience using BI tools
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize time effectively
- Must be able to multi-task, to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
