Lead SDET
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of scalable test automation frameworks for AWS, RESTful APIs.
- Minimum 2 years of AWS experience
- Automation-only role (no manual testing)
- Strong expertise in Python
- Hands??on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and/or Playwright
- Define and drive end-to-end test strategies, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
- Mentor and guide a team of SDETs and QA engineers, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices.
- Own the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast, reliable feedback loops.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like Locust, Gatling, or k6.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and proactively address quality risks.
- Champion the use of modern testing tools, techniques, and metrics to continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing and automation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Expertise in API testing tools such as RestAssured, Postman, Karate, or Pact.
- Experience with test frameworks like PyTest , JUnit, TestNG.
- Deep understanding of API protocols, authentication mechanisms, and security best practices.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS services
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years in technical leadership or test lead role managing test teams or cross functional squads.
- Proven track record in delivering quality for large-scale, cloud-native systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Passion for driving a quality mindset, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
- Experience with contract testing, service virtualization, and mocking frameworks.
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Background in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and DevOps culture.
