The Role

Lead Maintenance Technician

Walmart Central Fill | Orlando, FL
$27.00 – $31.50/hour
Schedule: Tues–Fri 2:00 PM–10:30 PM | Sat 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (subject to business needs)

Role Overview

The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the technical leader for maintenance operations in a high‑volume pharmacy automation and distribution environment. This role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with leadership responsibilities, acting as the primary point of contact for equipment reliability, technician development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians; assign and prioritize troubleshooting tasks
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems
  • Diagnose issues across PLC‑controlled equipment, conveyors, printers, compressors, and related automation
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Track equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance schedules
  • Create and maintain SOPs/STPs and support parts inventory management
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Promote safety, quality, and McKesson I2CARE principles on the production floor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance or facilities engineering experience
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC, PLCs, controls)
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and networked systems
  • Prior lead or senior maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience with SOPs, LOTO, OSHA, and work order systems a plus

Preferred

  • Technical degree or trade certification
  • NEC knowledge and light electrical construction experience

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $22.95 - $38.25
