Purpose/Objective



    The incumbent is responsible for executing the electrical works of 765/400 kV substations, ensuring productivity aligns with project timelines, cost parameters, and quality standards.
    This role is crucial for upholding zero-harm principles and adhering to all processes, actively supporting the successful completion of substation projects through effective planning, coordination, and daily supervision.
    By rigorously managing safety, quality, and operational standards, this role ensures seamless project execution to achieve successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of Role



    - Monitoring O&M performance objectives and budget expectation.
    - Identifying O&M Risk and Opportunities and follow long range risk resilience and mitigation plan.
    Execute it to minimize unplanned activities and provide risk assurance framework.
    - Establishing strategic alliances with present and potential stakeholders including sub-contractors, consulting’s / test services etc.
    required to deliver goals and objectives.
    - Testing and commissioning activity, Protection relay setting and Annual operation and maintenance plans and respective budgets for Substations and remote bays and ensure seamless O&M - Management of all operation and maintenance activities for HVDC/HVAC substation, by analyzing SCADA, Transient fault recorder, Sequential Event Recorder, Disturbance Recorder etc.
    to achieve and sustain highest level of operational performance, reliability, and efficiency.
    - Understanding and hands on knowledge of Control and Protection in HVDC - Hands on knowledge of HVDC Equipment’s i.

    Valve Base Electronics , DC Measuring equipment’s ,Cooling System ,Smoothing Reactor , - 400KV HVAC and 500KV HVDC Filter’s maintenance and Protection, Earthing Station.
    - Responsible for Activities related to AC/ DC Yard and Pole and station control related equipment, operational experience in valve cooling and auxiliary systems.
    - Hands on experience in Thyristor Valve and its control module replacement and valve hall equipment replacing and servicing.
    - Target Zero forced outage by Completion of Planned Maintenance Activities and deploying robust risk mitigation plan for unplanned activities, maintaining 99.
    75% Availability (or higher) for each asset with highest level of reliability.
    - Diagnostic testing to ascertain healthiness of Substation equipment, thereby moving towards a Condition based maintenance approach.

    - Supervise teams for performing in-depth fault/trip analysis including root cause analysis within 48 hours of incidence.
    Introduce various innovative & cost-effective solutions to avoid repetitive failures & any other problems that adversely affect plant operations - Adherence to company SOP, processes, methodologies and tools, quality reporting and MIS for operational performance of each asset as per defined frequency.
    - Prepare various data records from various stakeholders regarding asset and service monitoring, inventory, ESG, IMS, Safety etc.
    and scrutinize and review the same for MRM, BRM, OTP and KPI for management review.
    - Report out the current health status of asset and identify long terms risk with impact on valuation.
    - Own closure of punch list items along with handover and takeover (HOTO) process.
    - Co-ordinate and execute operational audits of O&M aspects and ensure closure of findings with suitable corrective and preventive measures as per agreed timelines.
    - Planning, monitoring & optimized control of Opex and Capex budget as per management approved budget.
    - Optimization of Spares procurement and classification of material through FSN, VED and other value analysis, store preservation compliance.
    - Extending support to sites regarding SAP transactions and material movement approvals.
    - Ensuring Statutory and legal compliance (Legatrix) - Supporting Force Majeure activities, diversion/ modification, Re-alignment of Transmission line Routes etc.
    Identify potential threats, risks and execute mitigation plans for the day-to-day operations including cyber security etc.
    - Ensure land access granted in time for maintenance of substation assets.
    - Ensures asset management tasks are performed in accordance with signed agreements like Transmission Service Agreement (TSA), Revenue Sharing Agreement (RSA), BCD, sub-contracting etc.
    - Management of Claims, Change/Variation Orders in cooperation with Asset Management teams mainly for O&M sub-contractors with the help of contract management teams.
    - Creation and control of work break down structure for proper accounting of asset in books.

    - Development of module like RCA, Audit management in SAP - PM orders monitoring and extension in SAP.
    - Compilation of DPR and preparation of flash report for availability monitoring - MAT code identification, PR creation, invoice booking, payment follow up for special project team, BEx team, ENOC team and safety team.
    - Creation of Dashboards to monitor business performance KPIs.
    - Participation in various business drives like six sigma, BPM etc.

    - Provide leadership and guidance to team and coaching to the team to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.
    - Ensure training and continuous learning - Handling interpersonal conflicts promotes collaboration and respect among the team.
    - Handle sites and good connection at sites with large group of people.
    - Drive various Bex initiatives like IMS, QC, AWMA etc.
    - Collaboration with MAAS teams for conducting Audits across ATL O & M business.
    - Collaboration with cross functional teams for conducting various technical Audits (Fire, Earthing, safety, Protection and SCADA etc.
