Lead Civil Engineer
This is a full-time, site-based senior leadership role located in Leiston, Suffolk, supporting delivery on the Sizewell C Main Development Site. You will provide leadership across a defined section of the Site Delivery footprint, with accountability for capital works delivery and delegated Principal Contractor responsibilities.
The role involves leading senior site management teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary delivery across major civil works, networks, buildings, and enabling works.
- Lead delivery of complex site scope under delegated Principal Contractor responsibility
- Manage Senior Managers across enabling works, major civils, networks, and buildings
- Coordinate matrix teams including safety, quality, commercial, and supply chain
- Define and manage cross-programme interfaces with civils, conventional and nuclear programmes
- Drive delivery to safety, schedule, cost, quality, and technical requirements
- Monitor progress, manage risk, and control change across delivery scope
- Ensure programme schedules and deliverables are developed and maintained
- Apply continuous improvement and embed lessons learned as standard practice
- Maintain compliance with CDM regulations, statutory legislation, and site strategies
Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and leadership approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent senior professional membership preferred
- Proven experience managing projects through full lifecycle delivery
- Strong background in heavy civil engineering or regulated infrastructure
- Experience delivering large-scale EPCM or principal contractor scope
- Demonstrated control of cost, schedule, risk, and change
- Strong understanding of nuclear or equivalent high-integrity quality regimes
- Experience managing NEC or FIDIC-based contracts
