The Role
The Lead AI Technologist supports the delivery of AI/ML solutions within the AGT Automation Lab. This role focuses on designing and implementing AI capabilities for defined processes or business domains, working within established AGT AI strategy, governance standards, and technical architecture. It is a senior individual contributor role with strong technical depth and cross-functional collaboration but does not own enterprise-wide AI strategy or transformation.
The Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI/ML models, agents, and automation tools within established AI architecture and governance.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions for assigned domains.
- Partner with Data Science, IT, Operations, and other stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows.
- Analyze defined processes to identify targeted AI-driven efficiency improvements.
- Recommend and implement enhancements within scoped project areas.
- Support rollout activities by creating user documentation, training assets, and providing adoption support.
- Partner with change and communications teams to help end users transition to new AI-enabled workflows.
- Apply responsible AI standards, privacy requirements, and data security practices to solution development.
- Identify potential risks and escalate appropriately.
- Monitor solution performance using defined KPIs.
- Provide updates to project leads and stakeholders during development and deployment.
- Stay updated on emerging AI/ML innovations relevant to assigned domains.
- Share insights and reusable components with the Automation Lab team.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- Typically 8+ years of experience in technology-driven process improvement, data science, engineering, or automation roles.
- 1–3 years of hands-on AI/ML or digital transformation experience.
- Proficiency with Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
- Strong analytical skills, communication ability, and experience managing work across multiple projects.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
