Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, and machine translation capabilities into Group-wide processes, systems, and platforms, creating scalable solutions that enhance translation and localization workflows, as well as knowledge access.
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on (Gen)AI applications and APIs, contributing to backend components such as retrieval layers, embeddings, caching, and grounding strategies.
- Design and maintain language data quality processes, including cleanup, consolidation, and validation of translation memories, glossaries, and other language data resources.
- Support evaluation, monitoring, and safety assurance for (Gen)AI tools and features through offline/online testing, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (translators, translation managers, engineers, data scientists, product owners) to identify use cases, gather requirements, and refine concepts through workshops and iterative feedback.
- Onboard, guide, and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge, fostering best practices, and contributing to a collaborative team learning culture.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience with large (language) data sets.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in applying automation and DevOps methods.
- Proficiency in Python, with a focus on NLP-related applications.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud, with experience in services relevant to (Gen)AI and translation.
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask for building APIs in the context of translation and localization.
- Good understanding of (Gen)AI tools and current trends in the field.
- Strong presentation and communications skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and gather information from various sources.
- Experience working in a dynamic matrix organization.
As a plus:
- Experience with CAT tools (e.g. memoQ) and translation management system (e.g. XTRF/Plunet).
- Experience with modern web front-end technologies (e.g. React, Angular) to facilitate and support full-stack development.
