Job Summary

The Campus Support Manager role is an integral part of the Information and Operations team, ensuring logistical and administrative oversight of campus operations, including but not limited to cleaning/facilities, finance, meal program, safety, and non-instructional needs of the building. The starting salary range for this role is $78,436-$85,256. This is a full-time, fully on-site role based at  KIPP DC Legacy College Prep with an anticipated immediate start date.

About the Role
The Campus Support Manager plays a key role in ensuring the effective operation of campus functions by providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support across various areas, including facilities management, finance, safety, meal programs, and non-instructional needs. This position is responsible for coordinating third-party vendors, overseeing procurement and financial processes, managing student health and safety, and supporting extracurricular activities, community engagement, and special projects, all while working as part of a broader campus operations team led by the Campus Director of Operations.

Location and Type of Work
This is an exempt position and will report to the Campus Director of Operations. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support which requires this position to be fully onsite. This role is currently required to be onsite or in schools during regular work hours.

Responsibilities
The percentages for each key responsibility are estimates, and other duties may be assigned. Flexibility and responsiveness are encouraged to accommodate organizational needs.

Cleaning/Facilities Management (25% of time)

  • Ensure the school building is consistently clean, well-maintained, and in good condition.
  • Address cleaning and facility-related concerns promptly, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify and address repair or replacement needs for building equipment and structures.
  • Interface with the regional facilities team to manage and oversee the initiation and completion of extended facilities projects.

Meal Program (20% of time)

  • Ensure compliance with the meal program, as well as the timeliness and accuracy of meal delivery.
  • Collaborate with the regional meal program team to address concerns related to lunch administration, vendor staff, and the meal program, escalating issues as needed.

Finance (15% of time)

  • Collaborate with the school team to ensure timely receipt submission and adherence to deadlines.
  • Organize and upload electronic and physical receipts to budget management platforms.
  • Support the processing of outgoing payments to field trip vendors, event spaces, and service providers.
  • Accurately code purchases made by the campus’ instructional and operations teams.
  • Track and maintain the procurement process using spreadsheets and other management systems, and provide support for cash deposits, escalating any issues to the Finance team.

Team Management (20% of time)

  • Directly manage the Campus Support Associate (CSA), Office Manager (OM), and/or Lunch Administrator (LA), based on campus needs.
  • Provide indirect management for cleaning, facilities, and/or meal program vendor staff, as required by campus needs.
  • Oversee and provide logistical support for evening and weekend events held on campus.
  • Present operational initiatives to school staff and lead related training sessions.
  • Ensure effective coordination and communication between team members to support campus operations.

Community Engagement and Special Projects (20% of time)

  • Assist the Campus Director of Operations in coordinating with the Metropolitan Police Department and other agencies, including attending advisory neighborhood commission meetings to represent and protect the KIPP DC campus community.
  • Collaborate with the instructional team on school-wide initiatives and project manage campus system and process enhancements.
  • Lead or support special projects, such as field trips, senior activities, onboarding new operations team members, and KIPP DC network-wide initiatives (e.g., testing, enrollment, immunizations, and meal distributions)
