Job Summary:

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, coupled with 5–7 years of proven experience in Sales or Key Account Management within the manufacturing or chemical distribution sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Set and execute regional strategies and targets for growth with P&L responsibility to achieve defined key account sales, volume and gross profit targets for the assigned Global and Regional Key Accounts

  • Investigate for further / new opportunities and potentials for Global and Regional Key Account in line with company’s directives and levers (e.g. cross selling) in India.

  • Develop and maintain Global and Regional Key Account knowledge (e.g Strategy, general needs, market) in India.

  • Coordinate developments of Global and Regional Key Accounts’ site and regional buyers in India

  • Work in close association with both divisions, business units and Regional Key Account Managers to identify and implement customer focused initiatives that expand Brenntag product offerings, strengthen loyalty, increase satisfaction and differentiate Brenntag as the distributor partner of choice.

  • Build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions by working closely with key principle contacts at all levels of the customer organization in India.

  • Manage and ensure timely response to Regional Key Account Managers, Global and Regional Key Accounts’ inquiries and initiatives originated.

  • Expand Brenntag relationships with key global and regional suppliers to create new product offerings, improve competitive position, reduce total cost of ownership and enhance overall profitability of the account.

  • Take on additional roles related to the Key Account Management role defined and agreed by the Regional Key Account Team

  • Manage consolidation program, enquiry, RFQ and any GKA projects initiated regionally or globally.

  • Complete relevant periodic reports and admin tasks timely

Job Requirement/Specification: -

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, Science or related field

Experience: Minimum 10 years of Sales & Marketing experience

Location: Mumbai, India

  • Strong learning agility with the ability to make sound and independent decisions by relying on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment when making decisions even in the absence of complete information. Highly self-motivation and driven.

  • Able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees within Brenntag and customer organizations in India

  • Has a strong bottom-line orientation and is persistent in in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.

  • Strong business acumen and customer orientation.

  • Good analytical skills with a sound understanding on financial statement.

  • High confident and strong interpersonal skills with good influencing skills

  • Highly comfortable in anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Strong customer orientation and market know-how

  • Good time and project management skills

  • Good team player working across different business units and divisions

  • Strong and fluent in English (verbal and written)

  • Strong Excel, Words and PowerPoint and various platform (SAP, Sales Force)

  • Ability to travel within India as required to achieve business objectives
